Hello from TX

Hello, my name is Adam and I am a fire fighter in the Dallas area. I love anything bike, including my dirtbike and my trek 4300. My wife and I are really interested in road biking/touring so I decided to get us some classic/vintage French bicycles. In my search I came across a French bike called a Fontan and found my wife a Peugeot. I am having a really hard time finding information on my Fontan but it has been a fun project nonetheless. If you have any information or ideas I would love to hear them.

Thanks and I am looking forward to many great days of restoration/riding.

Hi Adam--first, if you haven't already found it, check out the Texas regional forum. Then head over to the Classic & Vintage forum and show us the photos!

A lot of members here are from your neck of the woods, and some of them are real C & V fiends.

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

Awesome, thanks for the post. Right now I am waiting for a simplex derailleur to come in and i can get the wheels back on and get some photos up. I am totally new not only to road bikes but vintage as well so it should be an interesting journey. I am probably gonna need the help.

Thanks again.

Welcome Adam,

My grandfather, GC Cecil Moore is on the LOD memorial at the Dallas Fire Training Center. Thanks for serving and welcome to the forums.

PM me if you need help with bike assembly, whatever. Lots of CVers in the Dallas area.
