New rider from West Palm Beach, Florida

Hello Cyclist,

I have wanted to get into cycling for a few years, but nothing has convinced me more then seeing my buddy go from motorcycle racing to cycling -- and having the same passion for it!!! Well, he gave me his Giant OCR3 yesterday to see how I would like it and today I cranked out 20 miles!!! I road with my girlfriend who has been into cycling for a few years. We hit A1A from Donald Ross near Juno Beach and rode along the beach for 10 miles and back. She does an average of 30-40 miles on her rides so the 14-18 mph pace was too slow for her...hahaha. I guess I don't have to tell how sore I am.

John

Hi John, you will get faster, and better with practice. All you need to do is find some hills .

Welcome. I used to go to WPB a lot on my previous job. I have a folding bike and I used to ride it from Singer Island up to Jupiter entrance every morning before work.

I have a ride you might like:

It's good for Sunday mornings when things aren't too crazy on Broadway in Riviera Beach.
