Hello, my name is Tim, and I want to be a bike commuter.
Howdy folks. My name is Tim, I live in Portland, and I'm looking to get a bike to use to commute to work every day (~5 miles), and probably use for getting groceries and weekly errands and such.
I used to walk everywhere, and use my car about once a week, but I recently moved to an area that's a little less pedestrian-friendly, more spread out with fewer crosswalks and busier streets. There's lots of bike lanes, though, so riding a bike seems like a no-brainer.
I'm going to post somewhere else and ask for some help choosing a bike. Thanks!
