Greetings from the far North of Scotland

Hi Folks
My name 's Neil
I live in the Scottish Highlands
When I was much younger I used to race and be a member of a cycle club.
But now I'm 38 with a 40" waist band and I'm trying my best to get back into the sport I once loved.
So I'm just building up a 1950's ( maybe 60's) Mercian touring bike and I'm trying to get fit for a Lands End to John O'Groats ( via Cape Corneall and Cape Wrath )ride next spring.
So currently weighing in at 115kg and aiming for considerably less.

I have just ordered a saddle from MCM Selle An-Atomica, Inc called the Titanico LD with clydesdale laminate ( seems appropriate ). Anybody use one of these? They look terrific
Other than that I'm just waiting on a pair of wheels to arrive and that should be it.
