New to forum from Rocky Mount, NC
Hello all. I'm new here and would like to inroduce myself.
I'm not a newbie, but I've been off my bike for 12 to 15 years. I've had my Miyata 312 since the summer of 1986 and it's still in great shape and has seen plenty of mileage in the past. Reasons vary as to why I haven't ridden in such a long time. I'm originally from North Vernon, Indiana and have been living in the Rocky Mount, North Carolina area for a year now due to a transfer from my employers HQ in Seymour, Indiana to our operations in NC.
For past experiences, I've ridden several centuries, like the Hilly Hundred in Indiana and others in Southwestern, Ohio and Northern Kentucky.
I'm looking forward to hearing from others that enjoy their bikes.

Are you a Classic & Vintage kind of person? It sounds that way, if you still have your Miyata .

Don't know if I am a Classic & Vintage type of person. I just have kept my trusty Miyata in great shape and good working order. Never have been a MTB type either, but that could change. I did just have my bike tuned up at Steve's Bike Shop in Rocky Mount, NC. Also had the Rigida Rush Rims redrilled to accept Schrader tubing. Was also told that 27 inch wheels are hard to come by these days. The Shimano Signature mechanicals work just great. Just been wondering lately, why I quit riding like I had. Not up to the 30 to 50 miles per day from the past, but I have managed to do 10 per day so far. I've got a 5 mile loop mapped out close to where I live.
