Hello from Montreal

I've been lurking around this forum for a few weeks now and have learned much.

Recently, I suggested to my wife that we had to put my 1979 Schwinn out since there was no room in the garage. “Out” meaning the locked shed in the backyard NOT with the garbage in the front. Guess what SHE understood?

I found out 4 days later what she had done and had the permission to make a $500 purchase towards a new 2 wheel mistress.

So today I will introduce my new Trek 7.2FX to my wife and explain to her that the next “oops” she does on this bike, we are adding a 0 to the 500!!!

Glad to have found this place, to share my love of biking, and thanks for the help in choosing the new wheels.

Hi memorex88, figured someone should welcome you to BF. Welcome to a fellow Canadian and I am envious of your method of getting a new bike. I have heard some pretty bizzare ways to get a new bike but your method is new to me.
Happy cycling!

Thanks for the warm welcome cyberpep! Yup, maybe this was her way of getting me to loose a few extra pounds since I wasn't cycling very much lately. Now the Trek has me out every day again!

Still, that's a tough love kind of way to get you out! I do like the idea of the planned upgrade .

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

Yeah, don't be afraid to ask anything--sometimes a PM is easier, you know?
