A good saddle is one that fits your butt. Before you buy ask the shop if you gan swap it after riding a few hours.

    Started having trouble down there.

Bought a RX saddle but it doesn't seem to be doing the job.

That's a good saddle. I started with one of those in 2000-2001.
Since you aren't used to sitting on a bicycle seat (as opposed to a soft cushy seat), it will take your butt a little time to get used to sitting on your sit bones rather than your entire butt.

When the spirits are low, when the day appears dark, when work becomes monotonous, when hope hardly seems worth having, just mount a bicycle and go out for a spin down the road, without thought on anything but the ride you are taking. Arthur Conan Doyle

RX does seem to be a good saddle so far after 100 miles.
Not perfect but bothers me a little less than the stock saddle.

    Thanks for the input here.
