Hello from Vashon Island, Washington
I stumbled on this site the other night and am glad I found it. Wandering around bike sites, especially those about recumbents, homebuilders, velomobiles and other curious human powered vehicles seems to be both a delight and work distraction of mine. I've built a number of recumbents and have toured quite a bit on a couple of them - across the US, Ireland, New Zealand... We got a Rans Screamer tandem about a year and a half ago and did our first tour this summer around Idaho and Montana. Life's definitely different on a tandem.
So anyway, I'm looking forward to spending time around here and meeting folks.

Did you build that? You must post photos and description of same in the AltBikes forum. Do you ever venture off Vashon? I'm in Kent, and can be seen in various places just about anywhere south of Seattle.
Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

Thanks. I assume you mean the trike. I got the idea from Atomiczombie (https://www.atomiczombie.com/). They've got some great homebuilder ideas. It's fun if you like going in circles, not much for touring or commuting although I'm sure it'd get attention in downtown Seattle during rush hour.

Hey krispysteve,
I just left Vashon today after spending 4 great days visiting family. I rode the Island Center trails on Wed--rented a bike from Vashon Bicycles--and had a blast so I look forward to doing it again the next time I'm on the island. PNW scenery sure beats the concrete jungle in hot, humid, Houston.
