Hello from Boston area.

Hey, My name's Matt, and I live about 15 miles north of Boston in Woburn, MA.

I've ridden bikes most my life: a Univega BMX in middle school, Gary Fisher Hookooekoo mountain bike (but not too seriously) in high school, went through a sad rideless period in college, and then got into road riding after that.

I've gone of a few long distance rides over the last few years. It started after college when I got my Lemond Alp d'Huez and rode it from Maine to Florida 3 summers ago. Then it was mostly short 20-30 mile rides after work, with hopes of maybe doing a Tri here or there for fun, but haven't got around to that yet. Then this summer I met up with one of my friends I in LA and rode from there up the PCH to San Fran. Even though I have a lot of miles under my belt I'd still probably consider myself an Early Intermediate rider.

Recently I've been enjoying putting miles on my Specialized Langster fixed gear and I'm am looking for some tips in that area. And hence here I am!

Hi Matt,

I live in Kenmore Square and am mostly a commuter with an occasional century. I enjoy reading local postings, so welcome.

I have toured in the past, including across the US from LA to Washington DC. When I win the big lottery, I want to do the perimeter of the country, which would include the two big coastal ride you describe.
