Glad to be on this forum. I am looking forward to learning more about the other bicyclists here and more about bikes in general. Hopefully sometime I'll be able to offer help as well!
A bit about me:
I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Bicycling is my primary form of transport year-round. I don't own a car.
I have a small fleet of bikes of all types and conditions, most best described as "beaters", but I also have a decent older Motobecane Mirage, recently converted to single speed, and a Nishiki Pueblo that I would like to modify and make into a sturdy winter bike. The rest are a mish-mash of flea market department-store quality bikes that I do have an affection for (sometimes they have really come to the rescue!) and hope to eventually practice mechanical skills on.
My goal is to become more adept at bike repair and become more self-sufficient with such a vital aspect of my day-to-day life.
