hello from indiana

looks like a cool place, particularly alt.

I commute year-round, fit in as many 1-3 hour rides a week that I can, generally do a century or three each year, and recently have gotten into loaded touring.

My commuter is a specialized hardrock with slicks, fenders, power-grips, and lights. My touring/road bike is a rans v-rex recumbent. We have a Santana Ariva tandem that hasn't seen many miles in the past few years. My old Trek 560 road bike mostly hangs in the garage, sadly. Oddballs include a Schwinn Collegiate 5-speed, a ridable low-tech chopper project, an ridable inline three-wheel kiddie bike, a homebuilt recumbent project, a tallbike project, an idea about a couch-bike, and various parts/frames/wheels lying about.
I also have a Schwinn Typhoon 2-speed kickback, but my daughter's claimed and taken it away to college.

I've been biking since I was about 7 I guess... and that was a loooong time ago.

That is about as eclectic a collection of bikes as I have heard of. You might have your feet in most all of the sub-forums.

I lived in Indiana for years while in grad school. Still miss the area.
