New guy here
Howdy all, I've been surfing for a while now and am amazed at the amount of knowledge around here.
By way of intro -
My name is Jody Vance, I live in North Ogden, Utah, USA. I spent about 7 years (1992 - 1999) working in bike shops as a mechanic from Colorado to California. Realized there was no money to be made so went off in search of fame and fortune.
Married, 2 kids 1 boy 1 girl, work as an ultrasonic inspector at Westinghouse Western Zirconium. We make nuclear fuel rod tubeshell and endplugs.
I love bikes; have been riding seriously since a junior in high school (1988) so 20 years now.
I have several mountain bikes, a tandem, and a few vintage mtb's.
Probably my favorites are my 87 Fat City Cycles Wicked Fat Chance I bought at a thrift store for 40 bucks and a 1985 Peugeot Canyon Express (again bought at a thrift store).
I also love motorcycles, I have two Suzuki Katana's, a 1982 1000cc, and a Japanese import 1984 750 cc with a funky flip up headlight much like those that can be found on 87 Hond Accords. But bicycles are and will always be my true love.
I'm excited to tap into the vast knowledge available here!

I am trying to drum up more interest in vintage MTBs in the C&V forum. If you get a chance show us some pictures of yours there. There is a thread already started for just that, in fact.

Photos of the MTBs would be nice! Vintage MTBs are sorely neglected .
