Greetings From Milwaukee
Hi folks. I've done quite a bit of lurking, but I am new again to the world of cycling. I rode a lot & raced a little as a teenager in the '80s; then didn't ride again after getting a bike stolen around 1992. My physical endeavors included playing professional soccer, and a lengthy soccer coaching career. Coaching is a challenge that allows me to channel my competitive obsession; but it doesn't challenge my athletic side.
I maintained interest in competitive cycling through the years, but didn't do anything about it until this summer. I picked up a 2002 Bianchi Veloce in real nice shape and immediately began riding regularly...110 miles of hills in one day less than 3 weeks from making the purchase; I worked up to about 200+ miles/week at the end of the summer. I want to thank all who I have already learned from here; I plan to learn much more. I just got a Kinetic fluid trainer & have set some goals for the Milwaukee winter. I've been commuting to work (12 miles each way), but we got our 1st real snow a couple of days ago...the roads are quite icy...I believe it's time to use the trainer. |
Howdy, and welcome to the forums. :)
