Hi & thanks for having me. Just a few lines to introduce myself: I am a 51 year guy with severe Clydesdale tendencies who is returning to cycling after the discovery of recumbents. I have bad osteo-arthritis in my major joints, especially my shoulders, and cannot support any weight through my hands. I bought a Radius C4 LWB USS 'bent to see whether it would be OK for me, and I was very happy with the results. I went from being unable to ride a conventional bike for any more than a mile, or two, to happily riding twenty miles or more without pain.
I then got seduced by trikes and bought one 'just to see whether they were as much fun as folk say they are'. You can guess which bike gets ridden the most, can't you? The trike is a TW Actionbents that I purchased from a dealer as an ex-demo that had been ridden around the car-park once or twice. It was bought for a good price, and I am now upgrading some of the components and getting it exactly to my liking. This is a somewhat lengthy process that all my machines have to go through, and it gives me a lot of satisfactioin to have a unique machine which suits my needs.
I teach cycling to children as part of my job as a Road Safety Officer, and am a former Police Officer who retains a healthy interest in driving/riding to the highest possible standards.
