Old Shocks

Hey, I'm reaching out to fellow mountain bikers to see if anyone knows how to fix a Rockshox 21R--the elastomer is "crystalized" according to the bike shop and he says you can't get those inserts anymore. The bike is a Trek 8000 and is about 9-10 yrs. old. I like the light frame but don't want to put expensive new shocks on it. Maybe someone knows a good replacement spring that'll fit?

Any advice is appreciated!!

Thanks!

Howdy and welcome to the forums. I can't help you with the shock, though. You might post in the Bicycle Mechanical forum.
