Around Lake Superior?

Hey, Looking for anyone that may have done the around Lake Superior run. I'm looking to make the run in early mid June. I'm a little short on available time cause of work so it will be a fast trip.

Check out this thread over at the Adventure Cycling Forum: https://www.adventurecycling.org/foru...m=7&Topic=2771

I also am interested in this trip. I did it by car a number of years ago. Now that I am grown up....

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Likely to still be pretty cold in June, but you probably already know that. I learned it last year, spending the coldest winter I had spent in a while in June on a bike tour on the UP.

Still had a blast though and would love to do a round Superior tour myself someday.

I'd love to do a Lake Superior tour . Figure I won't be free to, for two more years... Takes too much time for my schedule.. I think the routing is pretty good. With the exception of M 28 thru the UP.. That is pretty narrow( last I knew.) and busy.. How does one manage to get from the Soo to Wisconsin border , safely.. ? Adventure Cycling recommends US 2 routing thru the UP ; but, that is an around Lake Superior tour , with a Lake Michigan twist.? I'd estimate the total distance to be about 1500 miles.?. Sometimes , the distances are so great, one might have to do it as a camping tour; since in-between towns its all wilderness..

Here is a fantastic website belonging to Jamie Noble who has done each of the five Great Lakes (one each year over five years).
