Hi from Dallas TX
Great forum ! Been jumping all over the internet looking for campming supplies and a new bike. Getting ready for a long tour in April. By long I mean I might be layed off and SOOO...i'm thinking of doing a ride back to New York. Something I have been taking about for the last 20 years. I just have to do it!
Alot of great advice and helpful insight. Looking forward to the adventure of this forum and hopefuly the ride of a life time.

Welcome Pakaderm!
We have a Texas forum in the regional section, I'm sure you have found the Touring forum. You can even hit each of the regional roums for advice on places of interest along the way.
I think we're planning a DFW BF meet and greet sometime in January. It will probably be out toward Grapevine to even up the drive for folks living West.

Howdy and welcome to the forums.
My sources for camping supplies around here- REI over on 635 (backpacking stuff, more what you'd use for touring), Bass Pro Shops, Cabelas, Academy (all oriented towards car-camping)- and Campmor via mail order.
