Hello from Dallas/Ft Worth

Hello,

Was searching the internet for bike decals and discovered lots of answers on your forum. (Yea!)

I am new to this forum, but not to biking! I have been cycling for years, some years more than others. I have two bikes. A Viscount Aerospace Pro (that I purchased brand new while in college!) and a Trek Madone 5.1. I rode the Viscount until this past summer when I FINALLY could upgrade my bike. It is all original except for the wheels and handlebar tape! -And, yes, it still has the infamous "death fork"!

The Trek Madone 5.1 is beyond my expectations. It is a joy to ride (wow! how things have changed!) and I look forward to as many years from this bike as I got from the Viscount!!! hmmm, that will put me at about 80-something years old then!!!!

I look forward to meeting you on this forum!

ps Merry Christmas!

Welcome Egr! Wylie here.

Drop in to the Classic and Vintage forum and show off your Viscount (be prepared to post pics!) and the Roadies will welcome you with open arms with your Madone in the Road forum.

thanks txvintage! I saw that there seems to be quite a following for my old bike..... (who knew!) I'll try to get some photos of it and get them online. Some great resources here!

Hope to see ya at some gatherings!

Howdy and welcome from another North Texan, C&V member and Trek owner! I live in Richardson, and a Falcon of England Europa and a 2005 Trek 1200 in my stable.

Hello! Welcome! It's good to see more people from the better side of the Metroplex showing up! (After all, as the t-shirts say at Railhead BBQ, "Life's too short to live in Dallas!")

Make sure you check out the Texas regional forum for upcoming events. There is a swap meet/cyclocross coming up January 11 at TCC South if you're interested.

Boy are you in for a surprise, lol. Vintage bikes are a sickness, and a lovely one at that.
