Greetings

Good morning, I live in Springfield Oregon. At 51 with gimpy legs, I'm returning to riding a bicycle..... So I got a tall frame Schwinn speedster (1974) with a Sturmey AW 3 speed. Nice ride BUT... I think a FW or S5 hub would work better for me! So any ideas? Tim

Welcome.

Just ride. Find out what you want to do with cycling. When you need something better you'll know it - then buy a bike more suiting to your found purpose.

Greetings!

I agree with downtube . . . the more you ride the more you learn . . . the more you learn the more this will make sense . . . the more sense this makes, well, you'll know what you need or want for a bike. Again, welcome!

Am visiting my dad in Salem...at least around here the rain is melting the crap off the roads to maybe let you ride! I agree with the others, don't worry about changing equipment, just ride that bike until you're hooked enough to get a better bike...
