The first step is admitting you have a problem...

Hi, I'm Ken & I'm a bikeaholic. I'm a 42 year old out of shape construction worker. After a 20 year layoff I have rediscovered my love for cycling. My goal last spring was to find an old trek in a dumpster or at a garage sale & return it to its former glory (I once owned a shiny new 1982 trek 613) I grew impatient after a week or so & purchased a new Surly LHT. I was hooked, riding almost daily on the bike trail near my house. My wife has supported my habit, riding with me a few nights a week & taking longer weekend rides. Something else happened- almost immediately after purchasing my Surly, I began to find beat up vintage treks. they were too good to pass up! My garage is now filled with bikes & parts. my most recent acquisition is a 1993 Bridgestone XO-1 in real rough shape I plan on restoring this one. I'm not very knowledgeable about repair & hope to rely on other members help to get my bridgestone road worthy once again.Happy New Year, Ken

I've had several since 1999 but have settled on my beloved 2001 Litespeed Tuscany and my latest, a 2015 Cannondale Supersix EVO 105

    Welcome Ken.
IMHO the Surly LHT is much better than any *equivalent* Trek. Glad you're enjoying cycling again.
Post pics and details of the vintage bikes in the Classic & Vintage forum.
