Hello all

I've been customizing and restoreing el cheapo bikes for awhile with pretty good success. I just bought a matching pair of 1972 Schwinn Suburbans for $100. These bikes look like they've been bubble wrapped for 30 years. Im completely restoring them one nut and bolt at a time. I love these bikes. Heavy, nice riding and will probably outlive me.

Welcome to Bikeforums.net.

It's always nice to have a matching pair of mens and ladies bikes.

I saw a similar Schwinn with a $175.00 price tag on it, here in the New York area.

Thanks.
I saw a guy on Craigslist selling a similar pair, without the generator lights and correct reflectors, in worst condition for $700 !!!! Don't know if he got it but the ad only lasted a week. Which brings up my question: The bikes both have dealer installed generator sets in great condition. Polished up like brand new. I think the bikes are better off without them and some bright led lights. Don't like the way the gen sets scuff the tires, go out when not in motion and to me take away from the clean lines of these bikes. Leave them or lose them ?
Thanks,
Rooster
