Living and riding in San Diego.. it'll be required to use that "dirty word" amongst some cyclist, but mostly, my cycling consist of commuting. Some weekends, in fact in about 30 minutes here, I'll hit the single track and explore some of the back country here. For 2009, I'm working on a project to interview local San Diego riders of all types: MTB riders, commuters, basically, people on bikes who I meet while riding a bike. For now it's going to be on a blog, but there is an effort to get other sd cyclist to have a collective of contributers. The idea, to bring San Diego together in a manner similar to some of the great cycling cities out there: but in a way to reflect San Diego. I believe in the bike. San Diego has a new commuter forum now which is really cool as we begin to gel as a community. Two of those efforts are: www.sdbikecommuters.com and a blog www.sdcyclist.blogspot.com
I work in the Military, having been around the world ~ got back last year from Iraq.
My humble list of bikes: a 1999 Cannondale R600, an early 80's Bianchi converted to a fixed gear, a Thylacine track bike, a Fraser SS 29'er and my latest toy: an early 70's Nishiki.

Hi again!
Do you have photos of the bikes? How did you acquire the Thylacine, and which Nishiki have you got?
Welcome to BikeForums, and don't hesitate to send me a PM if you have any questions.
