What size Road Bike? I'm 6ft tall 32 inseam 34arm

I was sized at one lbs at 58, then another at 56. Ordered on line a 58 then cancelled just because i'm not sure. I'm getting such a great deal on a Motobecane immortal Force all carbon frame / ultegra package I'm willing to chance the purchase knowing I should try it first.

I've been told it is easier to tweak the smaller bike to work for me then the large one. I road a 56 & 58 at a LBS and had a hard time telling the difference. I am looking for a little more upright position - seems to me the 56 is the one.... Don't know.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Especially from other six footers.

I am 6 foot and short legged, long torsoed, I wear a 30 inseam in Levis. I ride a 56 and a 58 comfortably. I think you will be happy with either. The 56 might fit your needs of wanting to be a bit more upright, as the short top tube will force you to sit up more.

I appreciate the responce. That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm looking at two different bikes. One comes in 56 / 59 ... the other is 55 / 58. The first bike is at a LBS. The other online. May go with LBS due to service issues. Thanks again.

At the very least, go to the lbs and ride both sizes. Lots can be done with stem changes, etc. Even if you do not buy the bike from the LBS, you could buy some accessories etc from them.

I have ridden Treks since the early 80's. When I bought my last bike I hit several shops and rode lots of bikes, but the Trek felt best to me, so I went with a Trek again.

My Falcon is an older English made bike and it was a yard sale find that just happens to fit me well. Lucky me.

A longer tt length will mean a more aggressive position. Likewise, a shorter length will mean a more relaxed position(read upright)

I have an Immortal Pro & Felt Z25.
The IP is a bit more aggressive geometry than the Felt (not as upright).
The Felt is a 58 (just the right size for me) & the IP is 62 (too big but I got it dialed in over time). I'm 6'2' 34 inseam.
I suggest an LBS the first time out……..
Good luck!
