Greetings from Western NY!

Howdy!
I am new to this for the third time ; )
I enjoyed biking as a kid but noting serious.
I injured my knee several years back and have been putting a LOT of time on a stationary bike in physical therapy. That's OK, but its boring. I much would rather see things. So shortly after my surgery, I purchased a cheap bike (I knew there was a possibility I wouldn't ride it much) and tried my hand at it a few times. It took several attempts to start, fail, give it up...start, fail, take a little break. Last year at the end of summer, I tried my hand at it again, and this time it took. So much that I got antsy if I didn't ride for a few days in a row. Winter happened, and I can't tell you how miserable I am being stuck inside, wanting to hop back on my bike and take a spin. The exercise bike just doesn't cut it! Go away snow!
I am sure that every State/Country, Province has its share of beautiful bike paths and roadways. But I must say, I love Western New York. I live 5 minutes from the Niagara River, and it has a wonderful bike path...I hope to ride the whole thing soon. The river is awesome. So are the parks. Right now everything I have ridden so far is rather flat to moderate hills. I can't wait to take the bike to a few State Parks and try some different elevations.
I should also say, I am a geocacher first, and can't tell you how psyched I am to combine the two. And if this didn't make me happy enough.... one of my geocaching friends enjoys running. We have had a few trial "runs"...her running and me riding. It works out great : )
So hurry up snow and let me get on my way!

Why, by having an elephant ride over one with a bike, of course! : )
Have you ever seen those penny presses, usually at tourist attractions? But the penny in, make a selection, turn the wheel and it flattens your penny and puts an image on it? Those.
