Hello from the East Bay
Hello all! Just found this forum a few weeks ago and was just reading and finally decided to jump in.
I have a Fuji Pro and a Gary Fisher. I have been mountain biking for over ten years and started road biking just under two years ago. I'm in my late twenties and would eventually like to get into racing. Actually, many say I should try now, but I don't know if I'm ready. I feel like I'm advertising myself here for a date or something.

Welcome aboard, Poor1! I'm over in Cupertino and generally ride up the Peninsula and points westward. I don't get over to the East Bay all that much. I want to do the ride up Mt. Diablo one of these days, though.
If you're interested in racing, I'd suggest you find a racing club and drop in on couple of their training rides. The other riders can give you idea of how ready you are to tackle racing.

Thanks SteveE. Yah, Mt. Diablo is a fun ride on a mountain bike. I haven't ridden up the road yet on my road bike, but I have gone up it on the trails for mountain biking. I'm going to try it one of these days. I've gone to a few places mountain biking on the Peninsula, but that was a few years ago. As you probably know, hard to find time to do anything anymore.
