Hello
Hello everyone my name is Cameron. I am a professional couch potato looking to get into some shape.
Found this forum via google so thought id drop by and do some reading/questioning.
If anyone knows of some good sites to read up on please leave the links. ATM I am only doing 30 min rides @ 4 miles in around 25 minutes....I am mostly a night rider and my neighborhood is 2 miles around with decent roads/sidewalks.
I dunno how good that is for a 4 year slouch but I am excited to see 8 miles in 1 hour.

Welcome Cameron!
Your rides are the start of a glorious obsession, or a fun casual pursuit!
If you look around the various forums, you will find people who take that obsession to various directions... either long slow rides across the country, racing, continued puttering around their neighborhoods or various activities in between.
Whatever your leanings, as long as it involves cycling, you will probably find like minded people here to share your passion.

Hello Cameron, everyone has to start somewhere, and at least you know how to ride your bike (yes, there are people who don't know, and have to start at the very beginning).
Don't worry, those rides will probably get longer and longer, but it doesn't really matter as long as you enjoy yourself!

Thank you.
It is indeed faster then I am all ready up to 10 miles a day now in just around 65 minutes. I figure I will work on distance then when I hit 20 miles I will work on getting the time down to a hour or so.
Though I need to get better brakes current ones work but not fast enough if its needed ( better safe then sorry)
