I live in the southern end of the Bay Area and I enjoy riding bicycles. Everything that I need (including the office) is within a couple of miles of my apartment, making my car *almost* obsolete. I'm not mechanically inclined, so the people at the local bike shop have grown accustomed to my newbish needs. I've got two bikes right now: a 2007 Giant Transend DX (purchased from said LBS), and an old Shogun 10-speed thingy I recently purchased from a guy in San Jose. The Giant is my minivan useful for grocery runs, and the Shogun is one of many purchases that I've made and will continue to make between my quarter-life and mid-life crises. And that's about it!
