Flatlander Roadie
Hey all,
I'm a Florida flatlander; we have to search for the occasional hill, but we get to ride year round.
My ride is an '07 Trek Pilot 2.1 s.p.a., 105/Ultegra mix, Selle SMP Strike Extra saddle, Bontrager Race Lite wheels, 700x23 Equinox tires, and Look Keo Carbon pedals. I'd love to ride in an agressive race style, but I'd probably never be able to use my back again.
So, I ride rather plush, but I ride and enjoy every minute. I'm working up to my first century and plan on a few more upgrades, probably a Williams Cycling 30 wheelset, Conti 4000s tires, and the Selle SMP Pro saddle.
If you are looking for a reliable LBS in Bradenton/Sarasota, try Ryder Bikes on Cortez or Ringling Bikes on SR 64. Both are solid shops.
See you on the road,
Mac
