Hello from 45+ newbie
Hello, bikeforums - I am a new rider from panama city, FL area -- I am to start a new job soon and hope to be able to commute full-time. I am saving my pennies to get better bike as my current ride is a wally-world roadmaster (freebie from a friend). I love riding! Thanks to this forum I feel it is not too late to start riding, I have been really trying to get healthy since 4 yrs ago the doctor said early stages of emphysema. I quit smoking, eat better and excercise. Now the bike riding I want to become more of my lifestyle not just hobby. Thanks for letting me share.

The forums are glad to have you riding along. You will find people here who will encourage you no matter what your level. You've already gotten a reply from DnvrFox-- you'r getting a good start. For some real inspiration, I suggest going to his weblink.
Happy trails!
