    Howdy

New member of the forum just saying hi. I live in the DC area and have been a cyclist for 10 years now, started right after college and have refused to quit. I am trying to get back in race shape, switching from triathlon to duathlon and hoping to throw in some time trialing, after two years worth of injuries and stupidity. I bike commute and my fiance is teaching me to mountain bike.

I am female, even though the user name doesn't make it seem that way. I am sure I will learn a lot from the other members and hope to contribute something to the various conversations.

    Welcome!

There are quite a few people on this forum from the DC area, so you should be able to find some things that are relavent to your area. How many bikes do you have? Most people around here seem to have at least two (usually more).

Between us, my Fiance and I have 7 bikes. We each have a mountain, race and cyclocross (for commuting) bike. He also has his first nice road bike, which is packed up safely since we don't have much space in the apartment.

I did see that there were quite a few folks from the DC area, and quite a few more who have spent time here. So hopefully I will learn new things about the area I live, but to be honest it is just nice to be part of a community of folks who love bikes too.
