I am from India, I am still riding a Raleigh roadster which my father bought for his use in the year 1960, in Mombasa,East Africa the bike was made in England 45 years ago I learnt to ride a bicycle when I was the age of 8 years.
The bike was stolen once and was luckily recovered,It was then shipped back to (Goa) India in 1969 and is still in good condition, and was twice repainted.
I am a Refrigeration & air-conditioning techie by proffesion.
I commute to work and do other chores on this bike there are other bikes like this one in this world but this one is mine, it is a hand me down, I like my bike the next best thing after my life is my wife then my bike.
I will never sell it though many came with offers.

That is so cool! As a kid I would have loved riding my dad's bike. I don't recall seeing posts on the forums from anyone in India. I really like to hear stories of others' commutes in lands far from my own, so I'm happy to welcome you aboard. Hopefully it will be as interesting for you to read about riding through the ice and snow as it will be for me to read of your day to day adventures on the subcontinent. I hope you enjoy this little cycling diaspora.
