Hi, am fairly new to riding (as an adult) but car issues are spurring me to make use of my bike for errands and eventually want to be able to commute to work (only 2-3 miles or so away). And hopefully a side-effect will be getting into a bit better shape. Am a chubby, uncoordinated chick so still working on being comfortable on a bike in public :-)
I started out with a dual-suspension box store bike and just this week 'upgraded' to a used Giant Boulder that needs some tlc. I'm fairly ignorant bike-wise but am gleaning quite a bit from this forum and other resources.
