'sup everybody?
Hey, my name is Lou. I ride a few old Schwinns for leisure and a MTB converted to an urban commuter. I ride an early 80's Schwinn cruiser that was found at a thrift store. I rode that around for awhile, but after watching the pitted rust spots continue to spread, I stripped that sucker down and gave it a backyard paint job. It's called Optimus, and it's my tank. My second ride is a early 80's 24" Schwinn cruiser with ape hangers, called S.O.S. 3rd is The Blue Blazer, a Chicago Schwinn Collegiate with a clunky rear wheel. Lastly, my commuter is an older Griffen MTB frame with urban tires. It's rather light and fun to ride.
I've always loved riding bikes. Since I was a kid I would run all over my city and beyond. We could ride to the beach from where I grew up. Now, I use my bikes for running local errands, hanging out with friends and commuting a few times a week. Night rides are always fun. I'm a big believer in the zen feeling. The recreation. Rolling down the street with the wind rushing past my ears, the sound of rubber on pavement and the feel of the sun on my skin are all the reasons I ride. Sharing laughs with friends is always great. We ride to LA Angels games from where I live, locking our bikes to the gates out front and beating the traffic jam out of the parking lot. Trips to the park for disc golf our whiffle ball is a fun way to spend a weekend afternoon. We even have a team car, my wife doesn't ride, so she meets us at local parks with a trunk loaded with the cooler and the food. It's pretty cool. We are currently in the first steps of putting together a our first summer ride. Looking to do a pizza/brewery run with a stop at a park for some bicycle Ring Jousting or an obstacle course.
I've ran into this forum many times in the past while searching bike related issues or thoughts and have found things to be very informative and cool.
I hope to be around a bit. See you on the road!

Thanks for the welcome, any bike games you guys can think of would be greatly appreciated. We have locked down the date for July 5th for our bike rodeo. Pizza, brew & bikes!
