It's been awhile...

I used to be a moderate rider, nothing more than 50 60 mile rides back in the day. That was about seven years ago. Family and job took me away from riding, well, took the time I had for riding. I have a student working for me this summer. He is a neophyte when it comes to riding skills and equipment. He rides a too small off road bike, does not really know why you shift gears, but he has talent and physical ability. Given a little help and a new bike, he could really do some miles. I would like to help, but I have been out of the loop for too long. I need to refresh and learn whats new out there. Found this forum and thought I might gain some insight here.

Welcome to the forums, this is a place full of insight.

And with any luck, you'll catch the bug again.
