Started riding again @ almost 40

Like the title says I'm almost 40 and need to get my cardio back up but hate running, so when the neighbor kid brought a bike over that he wanted to sell, I bought.

I used to love my BMX back in the 80's so when I saw the 24" Schwinn BMX Cruiser I had to have it.

I've been riding it quite a bit in the last month and enjoying the hell out of it.

Sadly, however, yesterday I bent the back rim trying to bunny-hop a curb. But all is well because I have ordered a new set of rims!

Thanks for looking at my thread and ride safe!

Welcome to BF.
Enjoy the new rims and the bike.
Wish I was "almost 40" again (I'm 64). I'd take up road racing and cyclocross racing!!

Bunny Hop!! Ha, I haven't heard that word in 1,000 years!! Love it...

Just like you. 40 years old, used to tear up the BMX, hate running (well my knees hate running) ready to mount the saddle again....(sans bunny hops)

Cheers

I can also do "endos" but they aren't as spectacular.

"Endos" are all about the dismount....just throw the arms up and yell "Ta Da!!"

Worst one for me was the "tabletop"...more like a tableflop...
