Greetings!
Recently started bike riding again -- back problems prompted me to purchase a used recumbent. It's a Haluzak Horizon and very comfortable! Gimmie another two months and I'll be hanging with you upright roadies.

When not doing a road-ride, I use bicycle to tow a kayak to local harbor (5 miles.) Found a few towing systems on the web, but they were all either too expensive, too heavy, or attached to seat-post (which seems scary) -- so I made my own out of (mostly) cheap materials (see pic.) Pic shows my hard-tail which towed yak about 15 trips, have since mounted hitch to recumbent.

Am a professional LabVIEW programmer (when employed) but right now having way too much fun riding, paddling, and fishing.

Welcome to the forum! Nice rig you have there. Check out the Southern California regional forum, we do rides starting from Oceanside on a fairly regular basis.

Thanks for tip re: frequent rides in Oceanside - have been keeping an eye on posts to Southern California forum since. Probably I should read "Socializing for Dummies" before actually participating. ;)
