Interested in Biking, from Waco
Hey, I found this forum while searching about road bikes, and I have been lurking for a few days.
I've never really been into any form of cycling (apart from when I was younger), so all of this information here is great.
I'm really just looking for a cheap bike I can beat around town and ride for a bit of fitness during my off season (I play rugby, so there is not too much of an off season). I've been waiting for a craigslist deal to pounce on.
Also, I love to tinker with things, so a fixer-upper would be fun for me to get.
Anyways, long winded intro, but glad to be here.

I don't know if you've found anything yet, but ebay and craigslist are great places to start. Also, check out the frankenbike swapmeet in Austin, July 25th, from 12-4 at Bucks bikes. https://www.frankenbike.net/?section=schedule

You Know!? For Kids!
Welcome to the forums. Make sure to hit the pawn shops, thrift stores and bike stores to see what they have in used bikes.
Just a word of warning though, rebuilding old bikes can get addictive and expensive. My $10 Falcon road bike cost me a few hundred to rebuild with modern wheels and components.
Make sure to visit the Texas regional forum.
