Introducing Myself, + A Few Questions
Well my name is Dominic, and i haven't been on a bicycle since i was 13. I am now in my 20's and starting college AGAIN, and thought instead of driving my big SUV, i would get a bicycle. I used to ride BMX bikes when i was 9-12 and would did most of my work on the bike myself. Putting on cranks, truing tires, and maintenance. I recently acquired a Honda full suspension bike frame with forks. I am going to build the bike up myself. Things have changed a lot since my redline proline bmx bikes and dyno vfr's. My budget over the next 2-3 months will be about 500$ total,in parts, but like i said i want to do all the work myself.
I have noticed that forks will run the most in the build.(cheapest suspension fork i saw on jensen was 200$). Anyways, i read the sticky in the MTB sub forum and am slowly learning. The bike will be used for mostly road riding, sometimes trail riding. I would really like to have front and rear disc brakes(mechanical), a nice 3 piece crankset, and some decent rims (i know weight is a BIG deal here with rotating mass but my budget my not allow for me to spend here. Any info/input will be much appreciate it. Thank you again and i hope i can learn a lot.

Hi, use craigslist.org I pick up bikes for $5, there are a lot of parts that you are looking for (I am just looking for classic bikes) at cheap prices. Good luck with your project.
