I was new, then old, then new again, sort of!

Hi everyone, I posted here for the first time yesterday AM. I've received several replies to my inquiry and I would like to thank them and express to the other new folks that so far, I am a newbie here, what I've read and the way I've been regarded has been nothing but friendly.
I've been away from cycling for over 25 yrs. I used to be an avid cyclist, worked at several bike shops, knew a lot about the bikes of my era and dare I say have forgotten more than some of you younger riders know.
With that said, I'm testing the waters again. I'm trying to learn where road technology is nowadays and the folks here seem willing to be patient, helpful and encouraging with the new guy. Thanks again!
I currently have 2 bikes both of which are in need of some TLC. A Zeus track bike, which is why I came to this forum, and a custom that I had built for me back in 1977. It's gone thru several iterations and currently has all NR components except seat post (weyless), stem and bars (TTT). I also own an Italvega which is on loan to a friend who just started cycling. I raced on that bike. It was my "beater" with black dura-ace brakes, sugino crank, NR ft & rr d's and the wheel set that is on loan w/ it are NR h/f hubs w/ 700c clinchers. I think the frame was the "Speciale" if that rings any bells, but I can't say for sure 'cause it's one of the many things I've forgotten. It was full Columbus tubing though.

Anyway, that's all for now Greatings!
