Hello. I was invited to join this forum after a member read my Craigslist post about used bikes. I've been riding my Basso since the mid 1990's and while cash concerns have prevented any new purchases, I guess I now prefer a frame from a better managed time. Planned obsolescence and mass production have contributed to a disposable world with a disposable mentality, prone to waste in the name of fashion and allergic to long-term commitment.
I've sold 23 used bikes on CL here in NYC and have only had good experiences. I have also met a fellow bike builder who is also compelled to wrench together functional and unique bikes, with profit only a secondary motive. I will have questions for members about their wrenching experiences as well as answers from mine. Keep spinning,
Michael
