Hello from Central VA

Hi All,
I am a returning rider, on hiatus since 1993 (kids, work, life, etc...), located in Richmond, Virginia. Just rejoined my local bicycle club (RABA) and started riding again on my original 1991 Specialized Sirrus which had been hanging in my garage neglected for many years. Have to say, the bike cleaned up nice and I am as thrilled about it as the day I bought it in 1992. My kids convinced me to start riding again for exercise (apparently sailing a lot is not the best exercise ) and it fits well with my desire to have something to tinker with mechanically. Also have a Trek 3500 that I may be upgrading to something different if I stick to off road riding at all. Right now I feel pretty beat-up after being on the Trek for any length of time. Anyway, just wanted to say “Hi” and thank everyone for the great information on this site…

Hope you enjoy your riding in Richmond. I've liked the older parts of town that I've been too, and there is a good race scene. If you fancy a competitive outing with low pressure, try showing up to the Chimborazo or Bryan Park cross races, even as a spectator. Fun!
