Hi from C-Bus OH!
28 y/o in a week.
I just recently got into cycling again and my garage is slowly filling with bicycles as I come across vintage/old bicycles at garage sales & thrift stores and realize that I know the fabrication processes & alloy types, but relatively little about the bicycles themselves. Eg. Today I picked up what I believe to be an early 80s road bike branded "American Flyer" (Made in Japan) S#81 5 85***; I'm working on finding out more details on it (it was manufactured by Kuwahara Cycle Ltd) and drawing blanks.
My first bicycle is a Puch Ultima. I <3, but it is approaching the point in it's life where it needs to be sandblasted & powdercoated before it runs the risk of corrosion from chipped paint.
My girlfriend rides a couple different vintage bicycles, her favorite is a Fuji mixte, but she also rides a Peugeot mixte.

Welcome to Bike Forums. It looks like you might want to check out the Classic & Vintage forums for more information on your bike.
