Hey from the DC area

I love the site, tons of extremely useful information... So I decided to register and become part of the "family."

I currently have two bikes, both older. My road ride is a 1985 Trek 760 which is currently in the middle of a rebuild and upgrade. The Campy Victory gruppo is coming off and Campy Veloce is going on. I am picking up a set of Bontrager Race Lite wheels tomorrow. I am having the frame and fork powder-coated black and keeping the yellow Trek decals. I am contemplating having the lugs yellow as well, my thinking there is that it will be a nice custom touch but it shouldn't be over the top. I am switching the the bars to BBB INCA Carbon Fiber. Haven't decided on pedals yet.

My other bike is a '97 Gary Fisher Hoo Koo e Koo. Thinking I may convert that to a single speed eventually. It's not a "sacred" model so I won't feel bad about any major changes I might dream up. I have a buddy in Tulsa who does the full customization thing, we'll see.

If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to toss them to me.

Thanks for the site, it really is a great learning tool.

Rick
