Another Newbie from Texas!
Hello everyone! New rider here from Austin, TX. I've been lurking awhile, but decided to finally post! I started riding back in April on a Trek 7.2 FX hybrid. I caught the bug quickly, and a friend convinced me to sign up for the Livestrong Challenge here in October. She also convinced me to do the 90 mile ride.
Up until last week, I have been training on that hybrid, up through Balcones, Mesa, and that area (lots of hills if you're not from Austin).
I recently got a 2010 Specialized Allez Elite from a friend of mine that races. It was a month old, and he upgraded a bunch of components. Here she is before I put clipless pedals on:

Welcome to Bike Forums. That's a nice bike! I went from a hybrid to a road bike and I was amazed at how much easier it was to get up hills.
