hello from Orlando

Greetings from Orlando! I found a ladies huffy cruiser in my dumpster yesterday so I rebuilt, tuned, painted, and threw some flat bars on it to make it a little more aggressive and had the time of my life riding it around Lake Ivanhoe all last night. Who knew those things could boogie? And on brick paved roads nothing beats those balloon tires.

I had stopped riding a few months ago after a rural-to-city move due to my mountain bike not having any nearby trails anymore and I was just not feeling the city riding at first but this urban stuff is kind of fun. Just needed the right kind of bike and motivation I guess.

Anyway, my blood is boiled again and I am hooked.

Who says a dumpster cruiser can't be fast? Pedal harder!

Welcome.

Which part of Lake Ivanhoe? East or west of I-4?
West can be nice with some beautiful neighborhoods to ride through. East could be scary on Orange Ave.

Have you thought about putting some slicks/semi-slicks on the mtn bike to make it more street friendly?

I have an old GT MTB with an origin 8 Spacebar and Semi Slicks for the urban neighborhood riding and love it here in Daytona. Congrats on the find and enjoy the sight!
