    51 year old newbie.

It all started at a garage sale about 4 months ago. I spotted a mid-eighties Bianchi road bike in the driveway with a $5.00 price tag on it. I had a Bianchi as a kid, ( maybe I'm NOT a newbie?) and I could see through all that dirt and the flat tires. Took it home filled the tires up and started riding 5 or 10 miles a day. Then it was 10-15 and now I'm riding 17-25 miles about 4 times a week.
About 4 weeks after I bought the garage sale bike, I knew it was time to upgrade. I ended up buying another Bianchi. This time a new Via Nirone aluminum/carbon Ultegra/105 mix that I LOVE! Picked up a book called "Riding To 100" and I plan on it!

You're doing well in all respects. Hang on to the old bike, in case I make up that way, I'll borrow it to partner on a ride. I'm from that way originally, no shortage of hills.
