Hello from Iowa
Good morning all. I'm a diy-er father who has recently gotten the bicycling bug. Its really my kids fault, I caught the "disease" by fixing their x-mart bikes. I'm hoping to do some training in the remainder of this year and next year and try some of Ragbri in 2010. For now I have a 15 speed schwinn comfort bike, but I have been looking at the Treks and Giants @ my LBS. Maybe next year if my personal economy picks up.
Anyway, this is a great site. Keep up the great work, I'll be lurking...lol

Welcome to happiness on a bike.
Keep looking for a used bike that fits you.
Craigslist is a good place.

Here is my current clunker. Like the custom diy upholstered saddle? (material stolen from broken lawn chair...lol)
I've test rode a Trek 7.2 FX and I really like it, but wish it had more speeds. Although I'm looking for a craigslist special to save some dough...
Anyway great site thanks in advance for all the info/advice!!

I have to admit, that's a creative upholstery job on the saddle! If it works and it's comfortable, that's all that counts.
