Hello to all
Hi everyone,
This is my first post. I recently purchased a hybrid (Norco Malahat) bicylcle. It is my first bike in about 18 years. I am really loving it. I am 34 and feel like I'm 10 again. I live in Montreal, Canada and I am very fortunate because we have lot's of paths surrounded by natural scenic beauty. I love nature and it feels great to get out of my dumpy apartment and soak up some rays and take in the beautiful surroundings. I'm quite certain that the majority of the folks here feel exactly the same. That's why I joined! So thanks in advance for letting me hang out here and picking up and sharing some great info and stories. Cheers.

Thanks Cbad, I will do that. Unfortunately I'm having all kinds of trouble with the new bike. Kind of getting discouraged. Nonetheless I am quite addicted to cycling now, so I'm trying to take it all in stride.

As to your username - is that an age (well you said you're 34 so that's not it ), a preference for singles over LPs, or a caliber?

Thanks for the tip. I have already learned some good stuff and met some very knowledgeable people on this forum. This place is a wealth of information. I've had a variety of problems... nothing major, and all fixed free of charge by my LBS. Just aggravation more than anything. Btw, 45 - the caliber Cheers

A friend of mine used to ride with a guy up in south Georgia who had no end of problems with rednecks chuckin' beer bottles at him from their pickem'up trucks. That all stopped when he started carrying a .45 in his jersey pocket.
