Hello! (plus Kalin "Etna" question)

Hello all.

I am new to the forum and popped in to introduce myself.

After several year's absence, it is my plan to get back into cycling. I am totally out of touch and cycle prices seem to have risen dramatically.

I was going to buy a quality used bike but I discovered I still have an old one in the shed. The labelling on it says it is a "Kalin Etna Professional". I cannot find any info about this on the web and assume therefore that it must be a budget brand.

My intention is to ride the hills in and around the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire which will include a few dirt tracks here and there. My guess is that this bike is probably not suitable.

Failing this, I need a suggestion as to what to buy. My budget is not great but I might be able to stretch to £200 and possibly a little more.

Any help appreciated. Hope I'm posting this in the right place.

Thanks

John

Welcome to Bike Forum, John. You might post a photo of you Kalin Etna in the Classic & Vintage forum, they might be able to help you identify it.

Are you looking for a hybrid bike or more of a mountain bike?

Hello CbadRider

It probably needs to be a hybrid as I will be riding some slightly rough terrain at times.

I will endeavour to get a photo in due course.

Thanks

John
