Hi!
My name is Bob and I'm new to cycling. I'm new to any form of exercise. Literally no shape at all other than round. Doc says take an aspirin and try not to kill myself but I should be ok. I'm gonna take it very slow and work up to a kilometer. =)

I see you're 54. I too was way overweight when I started riding at 55. I'm now 64, much lighter, and not dead yet.
Good luck!
What bike are you riding?

My bike is a 1994 Specialized Allez with Shimano 105s and 25" Wolber GTX rims and Continental tires.
I assume its a 1994. It's black with real tiny blue and red metalflakes. Purrrty! The Specialised labels are yellow on red. If I'm wrong about the year, I'd be pleased if someone would tell me. =) I've currently got it set up on a magnetic trainer. If I keep it up, I might break the one mile mark this week. =P
